The Opportunity:

Are you a seasoned professional with a strong background in commercial construction? Do you excel in transforming concepts into detailed, workable plans with a high degree of precision? We seek a Senior Architectural Technologist with a blend of creativity and technical skills to bring their expertise to our projects.

Important Note: This position is not suitable for Intern Architects as there is no in-house architect to provide mentorship. Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit is essential, and a stamp or seal is not required.

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate: Design facilities that meet needs and budget, working with clients and stakeholders.

• Technical Design: Create highly accurate technical drawings and building perspectives.

• Develop: Prepare detailed proposal drawings for accurate pricing.

• Ensure Compliance: Conduct code analyses to ensure compliance with the National Building Code.

• Assist: Support Draftspersons in preparing accurate working drawings.

• Oversee: Visit job sites to ensure compliance with codes and design intent.

• Review: Examine shop drawings as requested.

• Coordinate: Review the work of consultants, engineers, architects, and other draftspersons.

Your Qualifications:

• Education: Post-secondary degree in Architectural Technology, Engineering, or a certification in drafting technology.

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant post-graduation experience.

• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, and Adobe Creative Suite.

• Competency: Experience in developing full architectural construction drawing sets and interpreting various types of drawings.

• Independence and Teamwork: Ability to work well independently and as part of a design team.

• Commercial Construction Knowledge: Familiarity with various commercial construction types and detailing.

• Tender Specifications: Experience with tender specifications is an asset.

• Interpersonal Skills: Superior problem-solving and communication skills.
