The Opportunity:

As our Family Law Specialist, you will play a key role in developing a conciliatory practice focused on estate planning for blended families, cohabitation agreements, and other family law services. This is an excellent opportunity to diversify your practice and make a significant impact in a supportive, organized environment. While our primary goal is to expand our estate planning services for blended families, you will also handle some separation and divorce files as needed.

Our Expectations: 

  • Client-Focused Services: Provide expert advice and representation in family law matters, with a strong emphasis on estate planning solutions for blended families, including cohabitation agreements. Additionally, handle conciliatory divorce and separation services as required.

  • Comprehensive Legal Solutions: Collaborate with colleagues to deliver holistic legal services that address clients' diverse needs.

  • Process Management: Maintain and enhance robust procedures to manage emotionally charged and financially complex cases.

  • Mentorship: Support and mentor junior lawyers in family law matters, fostering a collaborative and educational environment.

Your Qualifications:

  • Expertise: Deep knowledge and experience in family law, particularly in estate planning for blended families and cohabitation agreements.

  • Skills: Strong procedural and organizational skills, with the ability to manage high-demand, emotionally charged cases.

  • Bilingualism: Proficiency in both French and English to effectively serve our diverse client base.

  • Credentials: Membership in the Law Society of Manitoba or eligibility for membership.

  • Mindset: A proactive and empathetic approach to client service and case management.
